BTW, that Julie Andrews was a saucy bird back in her day.

That"s to bad.

Be careful not to confuse Maria Agusta Von Trappe (who was played by Julie Andrews in the movie) with Maria Franziska Von Trapp who was the second eldest daughter and one of the children.

The confusion comes from the movie where Maria Franziska (one of the children) is called Louisa! Reportedly, this was done to avoid confusion of having two characters named Maria in the movie.

Thus, it was Maria Franziska (aka Louisa, last survivor of the original Von Trappe children) who recently passed away.

Her stepmother, Maria Agusta (played by Julie Andrews and recently by Carrie Underwood) passed away in 1987.

This is how most of us remember Maria Franziska, aka Louisa, as played by Heather Menzies in the movie (third from left):

My wife is gonna be bummed, not kidding. She absolutely loves that movie / story, we actually went on the "Sound of Music" tour years back while in Salzburg.

You sure it isn't Debbie the Bloop?

But to correct, it's Angela Cartwright, who played Penny Robinson, daughter of Prof. John Robinson, played by Guy Williams

On a similarly sad note...

RIP Harold Ramis.
Animal House and Caddy Shack are Top-10 all time comedies.

Yes, the cute little pixie (third from the right) in the Sound of Music photo is indeed Angela Cartwright.

She also featured in Make Room For Daddy as Linda Williams, and again in Lost in Space, as Penny Robinson.

I meant Penny Robinson. It was Guy Williams' name that tripped me up.
