you could jack that corner up just enough to spin the tire by hand and listen to it, although the angle of the cv will be different - more extreme which could spoil the test...
and I had to do that way in order to get the twist out of the frame before I welded it up good! |
dumb question, but i just need to put car in neutral for that correct?

spray the outside of the cv boots with some wd40 and if it happens with suspension movement poke a pin hole in the lower ball joint boot and spray wd40 in there.
Please note this is for diagnoses only as the lube will disappear and the sound will come back |
