I've owned 911's since 1994 and currently own a 1980 911SC. So hopefully that let's the purists know that I have Pcar history and cred but I'm here to say I'm not in that category of folks who talk dilution brand or whatever. I also own a Boxster S, and a Cayenne S. And I do so because they are great cars that meet my needs. Anyone who doesn't appreciate the choices the modern Porsche company offers is either talking out their butt or plainly just has not driven them.
Btw, I have a good friend who was an air cooled diehard. He repeatedly said over the years that he'd never be caught dead in a modern, water cooled Porsche. I quietly laugh to myself every time I see him driving the 996 he recently got...for his wife...
Anyway, I'm interested in the Macan and am considering trading up the Cayenne when Macan is available. I'm ok with a bit less cargo space.
Cheers
