Will your boxster play a role in

Whatever you do for valentines day with your SO. The car is a great date night car, sad to say but that's part of why I bought it. Too bad everyone's father assumes the car goes like stink and won't let their daughters into it haha.

Depends heavily on her opinion of the car.

For me, she feels she would rather live through the day or not encounter any police so the Boxster stays put. We will take her car, after I wash it.

One word of advise regarding dates in the Boxster, when you get to the good night kiss point of the date get out of the car first. Porsche seats are great at holding you in when driving, but their also great at making kissing between the driver and passenger rather awkward.

Park the car. Exit and go around to help her out on her side. Then if all signals are go, make your move.

I've owned my Boxster for 5 years and I did not know that. How can you tell I'm an old married fart?

As for Valentine's Day, I don't do Hallmark Holidays, but I usually buy the wife a nice boquet a couple of days later when they're all on sale.

Mine doesn't like to ride in it because it is too low, so for Valentine's Day my treat will be to not take it, and instead take the Toyota FJ Cruiser which is nice and high and easy to get in and out of ;)

Edit: The FJ has lots of room for various romantic activities.... :D

Valentine's Day is perhaps the most brilliant business invention of all time.
"If you don't love your wife don't spend money on this day".
Hook, line and sinker.

Yes, that and the latest ads making teens expect a brand new Mercedes as a graduation gift.

Oh, and you need to pay for their College/University too.

Haaa, I'll just get one of these for myself instead.

no joke we have a girl in highschool with a brand new GLK and another with an Evoque.... came to find out the Land Rover girl's dads money was all worthless because it was all made illegally by selling illegal gaming software.

RaisedOnPorsches 02-13-2014 06:21 PM

Back in my highschool days there was one girl who was given daddy's old late 80's 3.2 Carrera targa. Guard red exterior and black interior. Wow did she know how to grind that gearbox...:barf:

Note this was her *first* car too! I meanwhile was raising hell in my '67 VW Beetle.

at least i saved a clutch and went for an auto... i can use a man... but i knew it would be best i wait till my next boxster for a 5 speed.. or if im lucky 6 speed haha

Nope. Single, and also mom's borrowing it since her 987 is in the body shop.

Not unless we go out to the garage and sit in it (mine, blessedly, is put away for this horrible winter)!

The biatch stiffed me last year and didn't get me a card or candy, so this year, I threw a blanket over her head and smacked her in the arse as I left for work today and asked her how that was working out for her...nothing, not a horn beep, light flash or anything.

I think we just aren't communicating anymore. Maybe its the other silver car...

As much snow as we've been getting lately (3 winter storm warnings in 1 week ), the Boxster will stay parked and I'll drive the 4X4 truck. I know, I know, it's 80° in California, but what will the nearly 40 million people who live there do when there's no water left?

Why is the 987 in the body shop?

Perfectlap 02-14-2014 08:59 AM

You sir are a genius. Fight fire with fire. No way her girlfriends can top that.

RaisedOnPorsches 02-14-2014 09:08 AM

I should add my 986 is staying parked for the weekend, while my SO and I take the 993 on our first weekend roadtrip up HWY 1 to Mendocino County. Life sucks sometimes...
