What are the dimensions of...

Okay, this might be a long shot... But does anyone here own a BMW with an idrive navigation system? I need to know what the dimensions are for the idrive controller? The dimensions I would need are the length, width, and depth of the controllers shown below. I think there are other versions, and If anyone knows what those dimensions are I would really appreciate it.

Thank you in advance!

Don't use that control center, use the one that has the touch screen integrated into the directional knob to gesture things.

This will never work btw

Which one is that? I thought the top picture was the newest iteration?

And I think I've already finished a couple things you claimed would never work. Sooo....

I have a 2012 BMW 535I M-Sport with a controller like the top one. It is four inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. Can't help you on the depth.

In 2014 they added a i-Drive touch;

aw man, it's a half inch too wide on the sides.... Chuck, If you measure the width from the button edges instead of the chrome trim, is it 2 inches?

The touch idrive is pretty dam nice, I'll admit. But I definitely don't want to pay the premium retail price for it. Especially since I doubt I'll be able to find any used.

It is two inches from the edges without including the chrome trim.

Thanks! hmmm... I think I'll take the leap and get a used controller to see what can be done too shrink the width to 2 inches.
