First drive to high school If only I could've took pictures of some of the rednecks expressions when I drove to school today |

They probably look pretty close to those poor guys on this forum who bought their 986's new reading the title of your thread.......... Not knocking you Jake, I'm truly envious of your position at your age. When I was in high school (late 70's / early 80's) we hated yet secretly were green with envy of 3 guys; '69 Z/28, '70 W-30 442 and a Real Superbird. I was sporting a puke green Maverick, Boss 302 motor and Toploader 4 speed transplanted into it. |

Dang I want that superbird haha |

I'm of the mid 70 high school era as well. Then the school parking lot was boss 302s, Z28s, 340 dusters, Charges, 454 Chevelles. I had a 68 cutlass convertible. The summer after I graduated I dropped a 442 motor into it. On occasion I would get to drive my father's 914 to school - I felt very European on those days The movie 'Dazed and Confused' that was exactly what my high school experience was like. That's why I had to go to summer school to graduate Don't tell my kids I have to say I'm more than a bit green knowing some high school-er is driving his boxster to school |
