Permit Porsche
I am a new Boxster owner. Actually a new car owner in general, i felt that most people only move up from their first car, so i decided to get a Porsche. Actually not posting about IMS worries or any of the gist... rather just getting opinions on rear emblem. It is currently black and i am debating of changing it to titanium. I have seen that some people have 986 as there emblem but i have only saw those in black, is the 986 emblem available in a chrome trim? Anyways glad to join the Porsche community.

Welcome.
It looks like the original emblems are available in black, titanium and chrome:
Original Emblems: Porsche Parts & Porsche Accessories - Wholesale Porsche Parts & Tequipment
Here are some other options:
Newer Emblems: Porsche Parts & Porsche Accessories - Wholesale Porsche Parts & Tequipment
I'm partial to the one that says "Porsche" like on the latest Boxster, but alignment of that logo takes careful attention to detail or it won't look right.

Boxster emblems
Available in silver or chrome. My mom's Carmon Red 987 has a silver script and it looks nice, while mine is black.

thanks for the replys.... some of my first additions will be this. My real first priority is new mirrors. Being a new driver, the horrific blind spot of the boxster is more than bad news for me so anything to reduce the blind spot is a must.

There is always the aspheric mirror upgrade too. I've been tempted, but I haven't ever seen them irl.
Porsche9 is right, the quick/cheap fix to improve visibility dramatically is put the top down.

Congrats. Since no one has yet brought it up: pics or it doesn't exist.

Pics are under my garage on my profile.. We all know these cars are particularly good value for money these days. Very affordable when one is the youngest child with well established parents that live the joys of a debt free lifestyle. Honestly many kids spend more money on trucks then I did on my 2.5 98, I just know what to buy with the money. What a great car we all own.

yeah. I was never really a fan of the amber lights until i saw a black boxster, love the lines in the front of the car haha. Gives you something good to look at when opening the frunk to get out whatever it may be haha.
