Thinking of stepping up the livery

My car is pretty obnoxious already but its an old Boxster with high miles and I really just want to have some fun with it. Below is how it sits today. I'm thinking about continuing the white/blue theme and putting a round vinyl number plate (minus the numbers) similar to the Cobra's pictured below. I would place it forward on the car, like the corba's it would be a similar size (I'd have to trim the bottom leaving the circle flat an inch or so before it meets my white stripe. I wouldn't put any numbers on it (except at the autocrosses). What do you think, too much?

EDIT: I understand that the placement on the Cobra doesn't really exist on the box. The number plate would have to be split at the door

Get the circle done in white vinyl. If you don't like it, it's reversible.
Who are you AXing with in the RVA?

I autocross with VMSC, and some with tidewater. What about yourself, do you ever make it out?

I think your car is great, so I say, do whatever you feel like (especially if its reversible).

I am going to try gold and red wheels (plastidip) on my Boxster race car over the holidays just to see what they look like. I'm sure that the purists will cringe. Screw 'em.

Thanks for the compliment! Post some pictures when you're done. If I was going to give some plasti dip advice I'd say go ahead and let some paint get on the tires. Peeling te tape off that's right on the rim can peel the plasti dip off in sheets. Any paint you et on the wheels will disappear after a few miles. I did a pair each way.

Too much.

I would upgrade the wheels if you want more cowbell.

Similar to the Cobra, I would add a gun metal finish, maybe a Forgestar F14 and then do the PORSCHE decals in a matching dark grey mettalic color. Flashy but in a stealthy/muted way.
Clear side markers for sure. Those pumpkins need to be harvested.

I think the mobil Pegasus in red like on the outlaw 365 (will tie in with the read in your tail lights):

Yea, don't do that. It will make your car look tacky.

I'd say do it, if you like it and, especially, if you run autocross. If it's actually functional, no one's going to accuse you of being a poser.

If you like it, do it!

Go for it! Why not put the meatball centered on the door like this:
