convertible top maint. what to use ?

New to me 2002 Boxster S with a black top in good condition and a new vinyl rear window on the way. First convertible for me so new territory for me. Looks like Raggtop and 303 are two of the major players what are you guys/gals using ? Any recommendations for something better or available at local auto parts stores ? And what are you using on the vinyl window ? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ragg Topp every other year. 3-4 light coats. Use the Ragg Topp cleaner the day before. Let dry thoroughly before applying the Protectant. Then, for weekly/monthly cleaning, it's just water. No soap. Sticky roller every few days for dust/dirt. Order from Detailer Domain.

For the vinyl window, look into Plexus.

Used Raggtopp for 5 years. Just bought some 303 from a marine store (just to try). My top is 13 years old and still looks great! I use novus products on the rear window. I've had a hard time finding plexus. I know a helicopter pilot from the army base near me. He says they use Plexus on all their windshields.

Porsche also sells products for washing the top, protectant and something to polish the vinyl window. Suncoast Porsche carries all of it. Of coarse since it is a Porsche product it is overpriced but Suncoast does discount the price.

303 applied with a paint brush for the top and Plexus on the plastic window.

Sounds like you are saturating the top with 303 with the paint brush method is that correct ?

I have been wondering the same about top care. Mine from 2004 is starting to show signs of wear at the rear corners, I assume this is from contact with something and vibration when the top is down. The wear appears as abrasion/surface fraying. I realize nothing will fix damage already done, but for anyone who has noticed the same, any advice?
