Nope, he is spraying the rag top with leather paint. Some did it successfully here :/ You'd be surprised

Cheaper, Easier, Faster
 
Freddyet - Save yourself a ton of time and money. (a) Don't buy the product with Porsche on the label 'cause it's always over priced. (b) Save money by not buying the full day's run of your local paper. (c) Wash the top with a soft brush and Dawn. (d) After rinsing and drying thoroughly, apply 303 Fabric Guard with a foam brush, paying particular attention to the seams.

I've had my '98 for six years and the top looks like new.

ps Apologies to all you Raggtop fans out there.

This is what I do, no masking, can be done in a short amount of time.

Bruceh , thank you , I need to look up your product and try . The Porsche spray was expensive , but really worked well , water really beads ! Thank you for talking the time . Merry Christmas ya all .
