Bought my first Porsche

Just brought home my first Porsche. It's a 2000 Boxster S, manual, arctic silver. So excited yet nervous.

I've been on this site for about 3 minutes now and and here is the second newly purchased 2000 ish Boxster, and they both look great. Outside is my Arctic silver 2000 base, 99,000 miles, rode hard and put away wet, as evidenced by the dings all over the front hood, and front bumper needs refinishing. But I still love it.

The remark about the kids is interesting because frequently, when parked at a mall or such, parents walking past with little kids have to grab them by the hand to keep them for going over to the car. Seems to be a real attraction there.

Congrats on your purchase. Another 2000 S owner. Don't worry, the 3.2 liter us an amazing engine and the S is so much more than a base.

"Don't worry." A non sequitur.

Well let's see you got skirting and the GT3 front bumper with 18" wheels already on the car.
That there cost me about $4K. Now all you need is to harvest those pumpkins on yer lights!

p.s.
you should reconsider all that stuff hanging on the wall near your new investment.
And one thing I wish I bought right away: Das Schield hood and trunk protectors...

Nice looking cars guys. Kids are already making plans for that car I see. Good luck keeping them away from it in few few years. Enjoy and welcome.

Thank you I have been wondering about the front bumper, I will admit I am completely new at this except for all of the information on this forum. I am still trying to digest it all. I do want to "Harvest the pumpkins".

As far as the stuff on the wall, the car is actually now parked on the opposite side where there is nothing. Also thank you for the tip on the protectors.

Thank you. My girls love the car. They sit and stare at it almost as much as I do.
