Boxster Shifter Question
Hello All,
I recently bought a 2002 Boxster and I had a question with regards to the shifter. When shifting from 2nd to 3rd, my older Acura has a protection built in which prevents it from going back into 1st accidentally unless you rest in the neutral position first. This cut down on shifting time from 2nd to 3rd where I just pushed up the shifter and went straight into 3rd. I don't see this in the Boxster. No matter what the Car speed, I can slam it from 2nd to 1st if I wanted to or even accidentally. Is this normal? Or do I just have to get rid of the bad habit and spend the additional time to shift. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks. |
