Search question
This is an absolutely fantastic forum for the DIYer.
Is there a way to search by phrase? E.g. "coolant tank". I've tried "coolant tank" and coolant + tank and coolant & tank but I keep getting posts that have both words separately. |
Norm,
Agree: great forum, less-than-great search function. I usually try Googling something like (in your example): "coolant tank" 986 forum or coolant tank:986forum.com The latter should restrict the results to this site. You can quickly see how many responses there are in each thread. In general, the threads with a lot of comments tend to be more useful. |
I also use Google to search this site rather than using the native search function (which doesn't work very well). As KJC suggested, just start the search with "986forum ..." and you'll get great results.

Google is a better search than the native.
Use the following in your search bar to return only pages from 986foum.com : site:986forum.com "coolant tank" |
