The Porsches that time forgot
I stumbled across this interesting story in the Autos section on the BBC website.
BBC - Autos - The Porsches that time forgot |
Some of those cars are pretty incredible.
And some, like this one, should stay forgotten! http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/...ps885d236f.jpg |
Amazing....Would love to take the 959 for a spin:)

Great link.
Thanks!! |

This one here is rather odd looking.. The rear reminds me of a Mercedes.

That be a 959. Anybody know how somebody in the UK could see this programme? Weirdly the BBC won't let us watch it.

It's not a video it's a slideshow of pics and a story beneath.

Ah... oh well.

That was the fastest car on the market until the Ferrari F50 came out clocking 200mph. 959 was the first car to have all wheel drive along with a whole bunch of other perps. Way ahead of its time and priced as such. |
FWIW, Bill Gates has a 959. I love the Paris-Dakar racer!

I've never liked the looks of the 959. There was one at my Porsche shop last week I was looking at. It looks like a bad 911 body kit made to cover up an engine that doesn't fit. Amazing car... they just didn't bother to design a body for it.
