The small difference between your analog and digital speed reading is probably the needle being off a tad (almost calibrated) on the analog gauge.

Mine was off 1-2 mph until I swapped gauge faces on my cluster and drove around the block, came back, removed/reseated the needle, drove around the block, came back, removed/reseated the needle again...
