Boxster sucks at haulin' ice cream

There I was...it was a beautiful day in El Paso. I'm sitting on the couch and suddenly I have this overwhelming desire to get ice cream. I drive down to the store, pick out my favorite Ben and Jerry's, put it in the trunk and start to head home. Well, there is a road along the Mexican border RTE 9 that is straight for about 45 miles. I pass it on my way home and decided to shake a little carbon from the Box. What could a quick high speed run hurt? I ran down the road 5 miles to check from any state troopers, turned around and hit 140 on the way back (I have a picture on my cell phone), the engine rpm's were running 5700 and she was screamin'! I slow down to pass the border patrol station and head back to the hacienda. I get home and my ice cream is a pool of goo in the bag (the center was still frozen). I pulled out the ice cream, made it into a milkshake and went into a sugar induced comatose nap. Life is good, except I could have sworn I ordered the ice cream option?!

That trunk is great for delivering pizza though.

You've got to post that 140 picture! Way to keep it safe!

I just tried to post the picture, but can't get the picture sent from the phone to my email. No worries, will just take the camera out tomorrow and do it again! Stay tuned.

The rear trunk of any midengine car is always warm.
I've learned that if you go to the store with your boxster to use the front trunk.
Never put food, wax, or ammo in the rear trunk.

ammo? Personal experience with that?

No, I keep my ammo and firearms in the front trunk or behind my seat depending on what I am 'packin'
The only thing I find the rear trunk useful for is pizza and cloths.
