Full interior retrim?!?

I have recently brought a Boxster S 986 2001 with 68000 on the clock. It is black and have got hard top for it. The interior is grey leather with black bits. I am thinking about getting a full interior retrim and was wondering what people thought about this? Is it worth it? What should i go for? Has anyone had anything similar done with pictures i could see? Also cost if people are willing to share? Any good places to go and get in done in the south of the UK?

Cheers

Ben

What is wrong with the existing interior? I am not sure what you mean by a complete interior retrim? Are you speaking about installing carbon fibre or silver panels over the hard plastic? Regardless, I can virtually guarantee that you will not get your money back unless you limit yourself to easy and inexpensive upgrades such as installing leather over the armrests, or painting the console (at least, if you do it yourself).

There are lots of ways to go. Some paint, some cover in leather and still others do vinyl wraps. I did my arm rests in leather. I am debating covering the center console in leather to match.

I agree with Southernstar, if the grey interior is in good nick, leave well alone, amazing what a good quality leather cleaner and a good buff can do. Try painting the console and other various "Black bit's" or wrap them in leather or carbon, this is a DIY project and good results can be obtained if you take your time. I've done some of mine, i'll do some more this winter.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1382715837.jpg

it seems so odd to me to see the drivers side on the right. I can't imagine trying to drive. I know it is just my american ignorance, but still difficult to wrap my mind around it.
