Good question Rondo. I feel exactly the same way as I have said in your other thread. I feel less afraid of a 2007 or 2008 Cayman/Boxster now because 2009 and newer are too much $$$. I am not in a hurry to make that jump right now because I know what I have with my 2001 Box base. It has no issues.
I believe that the 2009 and newer will sell at a premium because they have no IMS but that may be over rated because they are still used cars although there may be other issues still.
Currently in the Edmonton area for private sale are a 2007 Cayman base for sale - 50k miles for $32k and a 2008 Cayman with 30k miles for $40k. Tempting but I don't want to park an extra car in the driveway as the garage only holds 2 cars. My Box will likely sell in spring but if these two cars were at the Porsche stealership I likely would have made a deal by now.....
I do like value for $$$ and like to balance minimal risk without putting out too much $$ for a used car. Yes Rondo good topic.
