First Porsche

I drove down last week to Phoenix and picked up my first Boxster in Zanzibar Red. Excited to upgrade the stereo, headlights and exhaust. I'm terrible at taking pictures but here are few.

It has the Aerokit I...very nice. I love the color. Do yourself a favor and invest in the wind deflector and the mesh inserts. That color is hot.

That is a beautiful color! Gorgeous car.

Depending on your age, you may want to re-think replacing the exhaust. Many aftermarket mufflers are excessively loud and have a lot of drone.

I have the exact same wheels.

I'm curious to know who gets more looks, you or your buddys Speed Yellow 987. My money in on yours...Body colored roll hoops, Aerokit, black wheels...SWEEEEET!

Yeah, the stock radio is pretty crap.... FWIW, you can patch into it really easy and cheap if you want to stay stock. I used the aux in cable from becker to hook up a bluetooth setup so I could use my phone and play digital music.

Tasteful spoiler too, usually I don't like them but yours is nice.

Imho

One of the first things I did with my Guards Red Box was to get rid of the amber front, back, and sides. But, I really think it works with your Zanzibar Red. Probably going to get some push back on this, but I think it should stay.
You have a beautiful ride and you're gonna have a lot of fun with her.

That is one of the best looking Boxster's I've ever seen. I wouldn't change a thing.

VERY NICE!

Is that an 01? That is a great color!! It looks almost blood red at night ... I know because I almost bought that same color and option package S.

Unfortunately it was not well serviced so I passed on it and bought mine a week later.

Great find ... enjoy!!!

I agree. I think the amber looks fantastic with that color.

black_box,

What did you use to connect your phone via bluetooth? I have a galaxy s3 and am about to order the headphone jack. If there was a device to connect via bluetooth, it may be worth a shot for me.

Just over 61k when I bought it. Thanks to the road trip and trying to get in as much driving as I can before winter, it's pretty close to 63k now.

Yeah, I came to the same conclusion. I still can't decide if I'm going to leave the amber on the headlights when I upgrade to HID but I'll definitely keep it on the sides.

I'll post a few when I get some time. Nothing too crazy though, not too many options on the inside.

I'm thinking about doing a complete stereo overhaul as it currently only has the dash speakers. The only thing that I can't decide right now is whether to go with a double-DIN unit or the ipad mini setup with a single-din unit below.
