99 box base with 25k for 12k?

i know the discussion about low mileage old cars,is this price way out of line?99 has dual row bearings i assume.

I think if you want accurate feedback, for this car or any other, you should be including much more info namely, service history (number of oil changes), parts that have been changed as part of routine maintenance as well as preemptive repair, whether the shocks are original (ditto for control arms) if this were a higher mileage car, any options that were included, condition of the bodywork (number of panels that need addressing), condition of the top and rear window (new top is ~$1,500), condition of the rear tires, whether the car sat idle for extended periods, etc., etc., etc.

you are correct.i have not seen car yet.it must have sat idle with that mileage.as i know more ill post again

In the classified section of the Austin newspaper today (Austin American Statesman) there is a 1999 Boxster for sale with 8,600 miles.
The owner wants $19,000 for it.

I think the 25K car for $12,000 is a much better deal.

I have seen some unusually high prices for Porsches in certain cities in Texas. And cars tend not to sit for very long. It makes me think outliers.

car sold in one day.there is a demand out there -i think,though i see so many boxsters listed.prices range from 7,000-22000 for 97-2004 here in california.
