HELP! Driver side headlight dim. Passenger side normal?!

So I turned on my car today and noticed that the driver side HID was not working and it was only projecting the halogen light (HID was not working). The passenger side HID was working normal with no issues.

So i removed both HID kids from the lights and went back to regualr halogens because I thought one HID kit was shot.

Now the driver side headlight is dim and the passenger side is bright working normal.

I tested hi beam and low beam swap on driver side and the lowbeam was till dim.

Im out of ideas here.

Anyone help?

Just a suggestion

I recently had some font body work done on my car- (97 Box- base- Halogen lights) when I got it back from the Body shop everything worked well (Except) the passenger side signal/backlight parking light on the front right headlight. The headlight itself worked fine- high/low etc.

Rather than rushing back to the body shop I pulled the headlight out and checked the "plug and play" socket and it was out of its holder- I snapped it back in place and the problem was solved. It was not making a "complete" connection.

Check to make sure it is installed correctly- should slide in and lock in place smoothly- I always use dielectric grease on the electrical connections as well.

Good luck!!
