I'm keeping it...with figers crossed.
Have been actually thinking selling my 03 Box S with all this IMSB talk going on, but it's such a beautiful car and soooooo much fun to drive. I would miss this car.
I don't have the extra cash at the moment to do the LNE Retrofit along with the DOF install. So I'm holding out with fingers crossed she stays good until tax times hits. I should get enough cash back to get this done and some suspension work too. Once this is done, she should be good for some time to come, I would hope. I love the looks this car pulls while driving it too, not a whole lot of P cars running around my area. After these mods I would like to get the lights replace front and rear with LED units. That's my plan...... :) |
Keep the oil fresh, change every 5k to reduce acids and particulates.
Keep the RPMs up, >3k, to minimize bearing shock loadings. Take several trips a week with the engine at operating temp for at least 20 minutes to get rid of moisture. Perhaps others can suggest a few other strategies for extending bearing life before you replace it. |
Why not get the IMS Guardian, keep saving while you weigh your IMS options? I'd save up for the IMS Solution. One and done. Or do the DOF option with the Guardian until then.

Drive it! Drive it! Drive it!

Good point on the Guardian. Then Drive it and forget about it. Yours being a automatic, I would drive it anywhere and everywhere.

Keep the oil changed, drive it, love it and quit worrying! :D
|
Sell it and buy the Dangermobile! It's already had the IMS surgery.
