topspeed exhaust hanger
For those of you who have installed a topspeed exhaust, did you find that the exhaust sits too high? I put mine on last night but couldn't get the rear bumper back on because the exhaust was sitting too high.
I will probably have to drill new holes in the plate closer to the top edge. I just wanted to see if you guys experienced the same issue. Thanks |
No, mine fit fine, but I have thought about lengthening the holes so that it will sit a bit lower.

I slotted the holes on mine. Makes adjustments easy. I also used bolts on trans to mount, like studs. Much easier.
I really enjoy the exhaust note on this. Van |

Doesn't take long, maybe an hour to hour and half.

My exhaust is on the way, I will install this week. How are adjustments made if tips are too high? Van, what do you mean by 'slotted'? Thanks!

Bruce,
I also have a 2001 S and am about to install the TS exhaust. How much louder than stock would you say the exhaust only is, and then the bypass pipes and exhaust? I would like to ditch the secondary cats but not if it increases noise a great deal. Thanks, Gary |
Gary, for me, it is not that much louder. It is a deeper growl. My wife smiles every time we go under a bridge and hear the exhaust. It is louder but not obnoxious. I also don't have any drone - see my solution with the exhaust clamps that I bought. I don't know about the exhaust only since I installed the bypass pipes at the same time. If you end up not liking it, you can easily go back, but I don't think you will. The extra performance along with the exhaust note is addictive! Good bang for the buck. YMMV
