Just made reservations at the INN of The Ozarks (best western) and they are getting close to being booked up, even though the event registration isn't open yet.

Eureka springs, Arkansas. Very nice historic town with some nice driving roads.Been there many times, but not for this event. From all reports I have seen it appears to be a great event with a couple of hundred cars or more each year. Nov 8-10.

Great area to visit, I was just there, the roads are great for Boxster driving. I also recommend driving old highway 71 between Fayetteville and Fort Smith.

Eureka is here in my home state and it has become, over the years, a magnet for car events.

This weekend-Crescent Classic limited to 50 Ferrari's with a few Lambo's thrown into the mix.

Oct 3-5 is Corvette

Oct 24-27 is MINI Cooper

Nov 1-3 is Alfa Romeo (every year since 1989)I have owned several Alfa's.

Nov 8-10l-Porsche Palooza.Last yr was huge, maybe 600 people and 300 cars.It was an official PCA Escape event.

I am coming from north Carolina and will be making a stop in paris, tn where I used to live, so will come across thru Paragould, mountain home and Harrison one way and across I40 the other way. ( get to eat at Lamberts one way and Interstate bbq the other) Are there any really great, shouldn't miss roads that you would recommend?

Mountain man-You will be in for a treat. If you go east out of Eureka Springs on 62 for about 12 miles to Berryville.

When you are in Berryville, drop south out of this tiny town on state highway 21.This is the real gem of the Ozarks in our opinion! It's about 65 miles of twists, turns and roller coasters thru the woods and over the Buffalo River.

You will end up right about on I-40.Drag out an old paper map and you will see.You can then head east to the Carolina's.

Last year, our Little Rock,Arkansas group had a small caravan on this road as we used I-40 for our return. You are welcome to join the caravan if we somehow are organized enough for a repeat.

Is anyone else having trouble registering. I get on the website alright, but when I try to join the website and I click on the boxes to enter my info it will not allow me to. I searched the website for a phone number and could not find one either.
I got it, a computer setting.

Anyone have any input on the drives? which route has the best roads, as in curves, scenery, etc.

BruceH 10-06-2013 12:17 PM

Looks like my wife and I will be attending. The Best Western is all sold out, we got the last room but it is a Smoking room:( I took it to put us on a standby list for a non-smoking room, otherwise, we will probably be staying at the Crescent Hotel. Anyone else going? I am still looking at the drives, just wish they weren't so early!
