SSR Forged 19x10- Will it fit?

hello

I found a good deal on rims with tires, but im wondering if they would fit just fine on my 2000 boxster S,

What is a default offset on stock 17 twists rims?

Below are specs for SSR Forged 19"
Front:
Rims: 19x8 et 49
Tire:Toyo Proxes T1-R 245/35ZR19

Rears:
Rims: 19x10 et62
Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport 295/30ZR19

Please let me know if they would work without any issues or rubbing

Absolutely stunning wheels if I may add btw. Very very jealous here :(

They are good looking,

They already have tires, so would 295 in the back fit? or is it too wide?

woudl they work without spacers? i would like to put them on and then if after some time buy spacers and push them out a little, or i need to get spacers to push them out to avoid rubbing in the inside of the wheel well?

yea they will mate, but not without a huge spacer sadly. The back tire in 295 "might" also be an issue but surely the 275 will fit great once you get the offset down to ET40 or ET45

Damn it ;)

Yes, an 18 or20mm spacer will work. My 10's have a 65 offset, I went with a 20mm spacer. You don't have to get spacers for the front but a 7mm spacer will bring them out more in line with the rears.

Stock is 7 ET55 - Front, and 8.5 ET50 - Rear

Even with the 265's, there isn't a lot of clearance with the shock tower. I'm happy with them, but I think 275's would have worked fine.

I'm not sure about sizing, but I would all the tire rack to see what tire options you have and if they recommend mixing T1-R's with MPS's.

Generally for the 986, I don't think 19" is a good choice in that you have to pay a premium for tires in that size. It's a little racket the the tire company run, they give you a tiny bit more rubber and use that to charge a lot more. For a show car or garage queen probably not a big deal for a daily driver that might see more frequent rear tire changes different story..

I like the idea of forged wheels in an area that sees lots winter abuse. But the weight has to be low (20-25lbs). Heavy wheels running a heavy winter tire can wear out the suspension sooner, things start rattle and come loose/break.

You are right,

My boxster is for pleasure use, i dont drive to work, i will put it away for winter, so the max i will do in a year is about 2000miles,

I really like the wheels and the price $900 for rims and tires in great condition I think is really good, is it?? :)

well if those differing tire tractions can be mixed is a question that needs to be ressolved. Tire Rack would know. You also want to make sure that either of those tires are still available and can be replaced. You don't want to find out that the tire has been discountinued and you're having to buy two or four new tires. I don't know but I've never heard of mixing different tires as being a very common practice.

Also, I'd do some research on those wheels. THose might be discontinued as well. If you crack one and its not fixable there goes your bargain because you'll be buying four new wheels and possible tires again. Also, a completely forged wheel for $900 sounds too good to be true. Decent forged wheels run about $900 a piece. Maybe a wheel mex where the outer/flange is forged and the rest of the wheel is just cast to reduce cost my sound more plausible. Is this seller otherwise too lazy to simply post an ad?
If these wheels are clean with no damage and really are 100% forged he should be asking a lot more.

nope. But I did crack a replica Porsche wheel not surprising given the weight. They wouldn't sell me just one replica wheel as a replacement they wanted you to buy all four again. and the one guy that would sell one, he wanted about half what I paid for all four.
The wheel cracking also took down the tire and shredded the sidewall, which resulted in my finding out that the tire was discontinued. So basically to replace one cracked replica wheel and four new tires would cost about twice the price of replica wheel set in the first place. bargains are not usually bargains.

SSR was bought by Werfen. They will probably provide replacement wheels and/or parts but they will charge you more for one wheel than 900 if its a forged wheel. They actually use a somewhat different process for many of their wheels. Most wheel shops won't attempt to fix cracks for which they are known.....at least that's been my experience. I have two sets of them. One set has a damaged right front. Werfen wants 800 bucks for the outer rim, 1200 for a wheel
