I've been browsing/posting a lot of bimmer forums. Some are biased, others are informative, but 986forum has a community I know and trust, and you can give me a perspective completely detached from the car.

I would much rather spend 4k on a car, and then 2k to make sure it stays going, than 8k on a newer car which poops out... although there could be a very long tunnel until I see the light (just like my 986!)
