Victor wheels on a Boxster

I have recently run into an issue with a set of Victor Innsbruck wheels. They are the recommended size to run 18 x 10 with a 50 MM offset. When test fitting them they hit the shock tower on the back. The spacing is minimal but will still need a spacer to make them work. My question to the board is has anyone else been over this bridge? The Advice from TSW/ Victor was, "for me to change my style of wheel". I am looking for friendly information before flaming TSW and Victor for crappy advertising and misleading information.

Offset for factory 10" rear wheels is 65 mm.

if you really like the wheels just add the spacer , no big deal there . i run 15mm spacers on my rears . I would even like to move up to 20mm to make the wheels sit more flush.

I believe that is a 996 wheel fitment, which should work on a 986 Boxster if you use a spacer of about 18 mm.

I have 10" wheels from a 996 with an offset of 65. I used a 20mm spacer which then clears the shock tower.

In the OP's case, I'm sure he only needs a 7mm spacer and hes done

Just lower the offset to +45, or +40 if you want a more aggressive look, and you'll be fine.
