Different model / year info

Hello,
I am planning on buying a boxster in the next 12 months so am in the reasearch stage. I would like to know the diferences between the years of manufacture and options etc.
I know the S series has more power than the base but what other changes were there?
Does anyone have a link to a site with this info?
Cheers.

The two biggest changes were in 2000 and 2005. New engine sizes and several changes inside and out in both of those years with the biggest changes in 2005. I don't know of a site with a list of the differences.

Granted
Two things come to mind. The first being a steady increase in power over the years and glass instead of plastic for the rear window In '03 I believe.

Edmunds

Go to edmunds in the used car section and read up on each model year. Start with the first year (I think it was '95 or '96) and read the overview. Edmunds has a section that will tell you the updates that were available with each model.

There are actually quite a few differences between the '99 and the '00 model with the engine size being the biggest differences as noted already. I also read some article in Excellence so you may want to look it up there.

The differences between '99 and '00 were pretty significant and it pushed me to purchase a newer model.

Yes, also I might add that interior room has increased too - in '05 if I am not mistaken. I sat in both back to back and for me, the extra room in the '05 was significantly more comfortable.

Thanks guys. I have been searching a few old threads and have come to a conclusion that a post 2000 model is the way to go. At this stage I dont think I'll be able to afford a later than 2003 model ( I also want an S model).
Now all I have to do is be able to wait 12 months without going insane
