I have had Sirius for a year now. The musical programming is nearly identical to XM but XM has better signal strength. I canceled my Sirius subscription at one point because they did away with one of my channels and the dance category is generaly better at XM. i might get both.

All these add ons like a boom box & home kit of office, make Satellite expensive after shelling out $150 a year and $50-$150 for the radio itself.
And satellite won't work like a walkman unless you buy the actual walkman type unit which weighs like a brick.

The future seems to figure out how stream satellite radio to your cellphone and then plug the cell phone into your car or boom box. We need to have the Japanese take this whole sattellite thing over.

BTW, I plan to buy Sirius stock. Sirius is a completely redundant company and will be taken over by XM at some point. Its not like NBC vs. HBO where the programming is completely different. Both companies offer basically the same product.

Thumbs up Xm

We have the small Roady 2 for XM and mostly keep it on Fox News in wife's Grand Cherokee. On trips it allows you to follow the weather channel continuously. Which can be very helpful trying to avoid snow or flooding. And the comedy channels can be a relief. Have had the service for several years and find it worth the cost.

I also have the Roady for XM. I like the mobility since I can move it from car to car and I even use the same reciever for the boat. I have antennas and FM modulators for each location, so all I have to do is move the Roady.

Now if only the stereo was good enough to keep up with the quality of the digital signals :-(

best buy universal satellite mount. $20
drilled it into the inside of the cubby hole.
I also used teh Becker Auxiliary Jack to plug into the back of the CDR 220.
it uses a run of he mill 1/8 stereo jack that I use to switch between Sat. and Ipod.
runs on the cigarette lighter
