Help! About to be a 1st time owner which car to buy

I am guessing it is but just don't want to drop $300-$400 on a PPI and oil change (to check filter for metal) if there is something I could have found that would have told me to walk.

That is a good point to have oil change/check filter with a PPI. If metal was discovered by doing this that would have been the best investment in your life!Then you could walk...
