Transmission rebuild?

Does anyone one a good tranny builder or does anyone have a 6 speed laying around they want to part with?

Last I checked a quality rebuild was about $4K and good used 6spds were 1/2 that. They are available from many dismantlers.

+1 Very few people rebuild Boxster transmissions - the cost to rebuild is generally greater than buying a used tranny.

G-Box or California Motorsports are your two best options for a rebuild.

Thanks for the input. Mine works fine but has a rattle at idle and a weird noise when rolling in 1-3 gear. Annoying. Second 5 speed that has done this to me. I just changed the fluid and it did have some small metal bit in it. I am going to go 6 speed now. I hear they are more reliable.
