Recall Notices how long
Anyone know how long the recall repairs are covered. A buddy of mine is going to run my vin but since its a 2000 not sure it will make a difference.

Why not run the VIN first. Then ask?

If it's a safety recall, it's normally the life of the car. What recall are you looking for on a 2000?

Car is new to me a friend was going to run an aldata profile. Not looking for anything specific just if it wasn't picked up before. Actually I have another car that I was having him check on and didn't know if there was a time limit., its an older american car that I never checked on. Thanks If you know of any recalls for the 2000 or web site to check that would be great.. Seems he just got tsb info no recalls....

The only recall I know of for the 2000 MY is the gas cap. It's "Porsche emmission recall A209". They replaced the gas cap because some were not holding pressure during the emmission tests so the cars were failing.
There are several TSBs, way too many to list. Most are just annoiances with the top, squeeky pedals, remote range etc. The most important TSB has to do with the RMS leak some have experienced. They replaced several bolts in the crank case with different, coated bolts when a leaky RMS is replaced. If you don't have the leak, you don't need to worry about it. |
