If we're talking about the same thing , In mine I hit the stalk that let's me check oil level etc and there is a SET option .
This sets your "speeding alarm" .

If you have PCM, there is also a screen where you can set up to 3 speed limits.

When I get the "mph limit exceeded message", I ask my wife to calm down and be quiet.

If you have the on board computer...go into the settings find the "LIMIT" option...there will be a checkbox that shows "LIMIT Activated". Select that with the lever to "uncheck" the option and that will turn it off. Info is on Page 94 of the 03S manual.
