Talking about strange Trip events.

I was on a trip from Toronto to Socal with a U-Haul a few years back, in late November and hit a turkey in Nebraska. A few minutes earlier I had driven through a huge blood slick that sounded like we were driving in the rain, from a deer road kill presumably.

The Turkey was in the grass median and suddenly took flight and turned directly in front of the U-haul while I was doing about 65mph.

I ducked and it cleared the cab and hit the Box just above the cab.

It sounded and felt like a cannon shot. Left a huge dent in the UHaul the size of a basketball.

I looked in the rear view and saw a big puff of feathers, but did not see the bird.

I looked in the passenger side mirror and saw a car that was way behind us pulling over, I think they were collecting their Turkey for Thanksgiving dinner that weekend.

BTW, those are awesome pictures of the road trip, sounds like you made some great memories.
