Stalling at 180 degrees
I just replaced my crank sensor thinking it would fix my issues but it didn't and I'm looking for suggestions.
It's a '98 with 176,000 miles on it. I replaced the fuel filter last week and it's my guess that I replaced the original. If it wasn't the original it was certainly old.
My son was driving the car a few weeks ago and the car had been running fine and then he said it stalled out when he came to a red light. It runs great but when it gets to about 180 degrees it stutters then dies. From everything I've read and talking with my brother who works as a service adviser for Porsche, all things pointed to the crank sensor. But no luck. It's still stalling out out at 180 degrees or thereabouts. The fuel pump sounds fine and I will try to get a fuel pressure gauge on the car this week to confirm. It reminds me of a vapor lock scenario that is common with my 914s.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
