AC Evaporator OEM Supplier
Hi everyone:
I am about to have an independent replace my AC evaporator because its leaking refrigerant. The shop will remove the dash and the air housing assembly. Once out of the car, the will take the box apart, refurbish it and install a new A/C evaporator. I would like to install an OEM evaporator. Does anyone know who supplied the evaporators to Valeo - the air housing assembler. I'm guessing that the OEM is Griffiths but I am not 100% sure. Thanks PS: A look at the Griffiths site suggests they are supplying Keuhl evaporators so now I'm really confused. |
Thom, you are probably right about the Griffiths.
i still have my old evaporator somewhere in my garage. let me have a look at it tonight, and see if i can find any marks on it, that can identify the manufacture. this way or the other, the Griffiths is a recommended evaporator, that i know some people use on the air cooled Porsche's AC upgrades (was spending some time on the air cooled section on the pelican website :D) also don't forget to ask your indi to re- foam the flaps. too bad i live on the wrong side of the country :( would love to give you a hand with that project. |
No luck Thom.
Not a single mark on th evap. |
Meir -- thanks for looking. I'll keep my fingers crossed someone else knows.
