I've seen these replica wheels and like 'em but don't know who makes them or anything about their quality. Can anyone out there help?

Top pic is from a 2006-2008 Cayman. Bottom pic is also looks like its from a 2006-2008 Cayman, but I am not 100% positive.

Do a Google search on "Porsche Cayman replica wheels".

The lowest wheel (on the page) sure looks like a MY2000 PORSCHE. Apparently they're extremely lightweight.

That 18"wheel, debuted on the 2002 996 & was called the "CarreraII" liteweight. Optional on 2003-20004 Boxster. Replica wheels for both styles are heavier.

Replica wheels are really no longer priced at bargain prices and are tough to buy if you need to replace just one. A problem I'm currently having with my 997 Turbo Replicas. Paid $600 for the set, another $200 for the required spacers, cracked one and now anyone willing to break up a set of four to sell a replacement wheel wants $300. And they're significantly heavier than the decently priced Forgestars.

I like grey myself, to go along with the Seal Grey body colour. And my taste is to go much simpler. I like 5-spoke; maybe I'm just too lazy when it comes to cleaning. But thanks for posting the option! :cheers:

Steering wheels shall have 3 spokes! Drive wheels shall have 5! Sport car design 101.

Those are fairly similar to my 997 Turbo Replicas which aren't really andy harder to clean than my factory 5 spoke Carrera summer wheels. In fact they take exactly the same amount of time to wash with a same wheel face brush I've been using for years.

Also, the Forgestars are actually a bit lighter than the Carrera lights and come in 18", a tough size to find these days as everyone wants big wheels. Last I checked they were going for $1300. I'm definitely going to consider those for my winter set if I decide not to go back to the Turbo replicas which are about 30% heavier than the Carrera light wheels.

Gun metal and seal grey would be a great color combination. Just add some $80 vinyl PORSCHE decals and your car instantly looks 10 years younger without much modifying that can't be reversed by simply tearing off the decals and putting your stock wheels back on.

why run aftermarket (???????) wheels when used PORSCHE wheels can be had for $3-400 each-- Porsche's rep is on everyone of them-and behind everyone of them

Because in this instance I'm considering swapping my stock 17s for the replica 18s. And shouldn't end up paying anything...

I can't see what the offset is from these pics though. Does it have something to do with the 40 and 90 numbers by the hatching? Or is it 06 and 07??

What's the acceptable offset range for the 1st gen Boxster?

Does anyone recognize the Italian manufacturer from the symbol?

I see sizes and the JWL standard certification. But, nothing that indicates offset ? Typically there's a number preceded or followed by +/- et.

Do you have the wheels in person ?

This appears to be an accurate set of specs for the oem version of that wheel. Assuming that the replicas are the same, the rears will provide a very good offset for your 986. However, +57 is rather high. I would suggest lowering the offset by 10mm or so with the appropriate style spacer(s).
