I would appreciate all your feedback about model selection, must have options etc.

I'm looking at this car: 2004 Porsche Boxster S

I spoke to the owner and will be checking the car out this weekend but yes, this car has a story. He's the third owner and says he has all the service records: *** NEW ENGINE INSTALLED BY PORSCHE DEALER in 2008 at 36,000 miles*** IMS HANDLED? Other issues? Do these things frequently need replacement at that low mileage? Thoughts, opinions?

PLEASE REVEAL YOURSELF IF THIS IS YOUR CAR!

Thanks guys, I sure appreicate your help and guidence.

Chris
$24k? Gimme a break!
You can get a 2002 996 for that kind of money!

I'd say $18k

Porsche Carrera .

That Boxster is sucker pricing indeed. But 996's can be had for well under $20K as well. Saw a 2002 Cab go for $11k and it was well kept.

All non-GT3 996's are sinking fast. I've seen many 996 Turbos going for mid-30k's and they were not high mileage or beaten down nor were they private seller listings. And a ton of mint condition Turbos slightly above 40K.

Bluebook is out window with the market neck deep in Boxsters, Caymans, 996 and 997s.
