Johnny D you are absolutely right - and that's one of the reasons I believe that the prices for clean, well-maintained, low mileage examples have probably bottomed out. Yes, a large number of 986's were produced, but the entry price now ensures that many people will buy them who cannot afford to maintain them. In the next several years the supply of good ones will be dramatically reduced and then a gorgeous model of Porsche that was critical to the survival of the marque - one with excellent performance and roots to the past (and the future, as they are and always will be the original Boxster) will become a collectible with appreciating values.
