Engine rattle?

Hope someone can help diagnose this issue. Search didn't give me any results.

I hear a rattle from the rear after lifting my foot off the gas. The noise happens at about 1800 rpms and slowly quiets down with rpm. If I get back on the gas it goes away. If I engage the clutch or neutral, it goes away. I hear it predominately in 1st gear when in the parking lot.

Has anyone experienced this before? Where to begin to look?

Thanks!

Check the heat sheilds on the exhaust. They're likely loose...

Also check the heat shields just before the secondary cats.
I just whacked mine with a hammer today. Nasty rattle that's been there for 2 years (!) is gone now.
These heat shields are just the dumbest design ever. Basically they are just a sleeve over the pipe. Nothing holds them in place and over the years they just get looser and looser.

i thought i had a rattling heat shield a few years ago, turned out the alternator bolt was loose. i tightened it up and rattle was gone.
