door panel clip location?
 

my 02 S came with the bose sound system and the door speaker grilles have little "bose" emblems on them. over the years from feet going in and out, they were bent and beat up, so i carefully removed them using a very small screwdriver. As they pulled away, i heard what i assume is some sort of nut or backing plate fall inside the door. I dont think they will harm anything or make any noise, but if they do, does anyone know if there are clips to the door panels under the speakers that will pull away and hopefully the pieces fall out? i dont want to remove the whole door panels to get them out if i dont have to..thanks.

Actually there are 4 retaining clips that hold the speaker grill onto the door panel. I'm thinking you probably popped one of those off, because they would pop off and fall in. The door panel clips are white plastic and don't really fall off the door.
