dash blanks

I have a 2001 Boxster S. The car has the standard center dash buttons around the radio. Central Locks, defrost, cab top and PSM. Can anyone tell me what the other 2 blanks would have been for? I have never seen them used for a factory option in a Boxster. I have seen them used for after market hacks; rear spoiler, garage door openers and OBC to name a few. Are they just left over from the 911 interior?

Spoiler switch and traction control

Thanks for the info. I didn't know the spoiler switch was available from the factory on the boxster. Then again, everything is an option when you buy a porsche. It can make for some unique cars though.

The spoiler switch may not be a factory option. I was just guessing on that one.

Sometimes, it's easier to put in a blank than redesign the faceplates without a spot for something that might be available on the 996... I think this is exactly what happened and why we have dash blanks.

BTW, I have an extra one if anyone needs it :)
