Might be buying 2001 with blown engine

My 01 s box (tip) is running perfectly, but the body has been hit a few times...I was hoping to find a 2001 with a blown engine so I could do the swap.

The car with a blown engine is a 2001 s box with tip (like mine)

without asking directly, does anyone have any additional "information" from the info provided above? Pm would be great.

Thanks

Scouser's Porsche VIN Decoder

Just past the VIN in here... it will give you the basics.... If you pay $10 bux you can get the whole Car Fax or if you know anyone that has a used car lot just have them run it :-)

Buying a Boxster with the motor already blown sure saves a lot of worry about the IMSB letting go. Takes all the stress out of Porsche ownership! Wish I'd thought of that...

I have an engine with the LN IMS upgrade and new rear seal with only 78k on it ready to go in....just looking for a nice donor for the swap.

Thanks again...if anyone has a way to run the vin, shoot me a pm.

Just a suggestion about buying a rolling chassis where the engine doesn't run:

There is a lot of risk in that most features of the car can't be checked without the engine running, e.g., air conditioning, cooling system, transmission, ECU, clutch, a lot of the wiring, etc.

Beyond that, be sure to put a fully charged battery in the car so you can check the lights, climate controller, sound system, soft top operation, immobilizer/alarm, electic door locks and windows, etc.

Hapen to have a supercharged 2.5 .About 275hp,& torque galore. Only a bout 10k with SC installed, 40k total. Fast and ready to go. some one like you might be interested. Once you go, you'll never go back... to sub-compact with 200 H.P,

And the torque...Ever accidentally spun a 420 without even trying?

PM for details no bs.,

Regards, PK
