Whining fan!

A little help and advice please.

The fan in the right front bumper is making a huge embarrassing whining sound when the ac is turned on. Do you think it's something simple like just needing a little grease, or something more like bearings, or even a replacement fan.

Is it easy to remove the fan, or is it part of the radiator, that needs to be removed as a complete unit?

What steps would I need to follow to remove the fan. Does it require the bumper to be removed?

Thanks in advance.

James

Your fan needs more discipline! :)

It could be as simple as debris caught in the fan or condensor.

Here's a DIY on replacing / inspecting the fans: http://pedrosgarage.com/Site_3/Replace_Radiator_Fan.html

I'm not sure if the bearings are servicable, but you can find a replacement fan here: Pelican Parts - Product Information: 996-624-135-00-M14
