How do you clean in between?

What do you all use to keep the area clean in between the wheel bolts? Do you simply take the wheel off every so often? Mine just filthy and wheel cleaner products don't seem to do the trick.

I plan to paint my bolts to freshen up the look based on a post from another forum member.

A car catalogue called "Griots Garage" has a special log skinny hollow brush that is made for this.I have not bought one but it looks like it would work. They have a site.

I had the same 2001 rims as you and tried about every product. The only one that took care of the grime around the lugs was a spray on wheel cleaner by Eagle One. Let it soak a bit, wipe it and hose it off.

A soft, long bristle paint brush from your local Hardware store will do the trick.

If I'm getting where you're talking about, I just spin a Q-tip around the bolt when I'm washing the car.

I use the edge of my wash towel. It doesn't get in there completely, but does a good enough job.
