Latest rev of coolant cap?
Gents,
What's the latest revision/part number for the coolant cap? I currently have 996.106.447.02. I have some condensate which I believe is coolant after each drive (no coolant tank leak which I've confirmed today). Thinking it might be the cap not sealing properly. Want to replace with latest version to rule it out. Thanks. |

Yes, -04. I just bought one from the dealer.

Is it blue or black ?

Hi slight hijacking, is the condensation not normal in the coolant cap trunk cover area? Mine has this also but the coolant doesnt have a significant loss in its level. The local mechanic says its normal because heat and cold is present in this are thus condenstaion. Which i find weird.

04 - Blue. I still get a small amount of localised condensation on the underside of the trunk lid. Its currently just above freezing in the UK and a spirited drive results in condensation. I was checking everyday for fluid loss. But the level never moved so now i just ignore it.

Inspecting the bleeder valve is worthwhile but be careful as it is quite easy to strip or break the screws as well as other parts of it. No issue to just leave alone so long as you are convinced the tank is sound. |
