Thinking of Adding a Stripe ?
I'm thinking of jazzing up the Dangermobile a little by adding a hood stripe. Any thoughts ?

With a cabrio, all you get is a hood and trunk stripe - looks kind of 3/4's done without the roof stripe.
For a convertible, I'm still partial to the PORSCHE side stripe. Its a classic and breaks up the big blank canvas look of the stock Boxster.

I'm thinking just the hood.

Unfortunately, because my side skirts angle up toward the rear, it's not feasible to add a side stripe.

Gotta go with the classic striping: hood and trunk. Would look great with your black wheels.

you could do inverted PORSCHE door decals instead, maybe in that dark grey. You'd just have to tuck that little bit of solid stripe in the rear behind the skirting.
use the same color stripe for the hood with a little red border. if you want both decals to match you add a thin red stripe along the top of the inverted door decals to frame the PORSCHE lettering. Just like on the RS 4.0 GT3

Since the slates on my front bumper can't be painted black, in order to create a contrast, I was thinking of adding some sort of black stripe to just the hood. But, I think you may be right on the nah !

Take the picture you posted, and open it on your paint brush program. Draw one on it. You will change your mind-

I like the black stripe idea, but I think it needs to go on the hood and the trunk, not just the hood. It would look weird without the trunk being done.

Good advice. I kind of like the idea of having a vintage style stripe that's off-centered that goes along the hood and trunk.

I think you should explore Trans Am hood decals as an option.

Get some vinyl wrap and try a few things...it's cheap and easy to install
I like the offset stripe look.

I like the offset racing stripes! Those are cool!
Then finish it off with a racing size/style number. You can get it from any (magnetic) sign company for under $100, I'll bet. On yellow, I'd do black circle with white number.
