Headlight trim

Hello! I'm an '84 Carrera owner (just joined) thinking of purchasing a Boxster (Series 1). The only thing that puts me off is the headlight design. I came across an old post showing JP in ST Louis' Boxster with an attractive applique' on the lights. Can anyone provide information on this item? TIA

I'm not sure I would want that on my headlights if there is any adhesive to the lense.
If it clips on around the sides maybe it's not an issue. Those headlights are very expensive.

I actually saw a Porsche with something similar the other day, I believe it was a 996 though.

Looked awful. I'm of the mindset that you should enjoy the natural, original look of your car without such modifications.

I happen to think even the 996/986 front looks beautiful and still very iconic of Porsche. (Even if it isn't quite rounded like the earlier and newer models)

I agree...these may not be the prettiest headlights, but all of the trim options I've seen are horrendous.

I think deambered looks best. I'd even go with those eBay led setups before trim.
Just my opinion...

I'm pretty sure I saw a prototype Boxster with a 993 Carrera front end with round lights in a book that was recently published (has the 918 on the cover forget the name). Did not look right....

Personally, I much prefer the Boxster lights. Anything found on the GT1 LMP is pretty darn cool in my book. But you being a Carrera fan I can see how they seem unusual to you.
I was never really a 911 fan growing up. I much preferred the more forward looking 917, 928 and 944. At least with the 928 and some of the flat nose 911's the round lights looked more shark like and less VW beetle like.

In fact I liked the non-round lights so much I have one these in my dinning room.
