I feel bad for you...

...if your car is currently sleeping in a garage due to weather. :)

Dropped the top this morning, went for a short fun twisty road drive... Ahhhh that's what it's all about.

50 degrees, sunny, and was called off work. ;)
This is awesome top down weather, so I'm going cruising! :D

More than 2 feet of snow fell here in New England last night. :(

M31 02-09-2013 11:45 AM

Yes JD...at least you know my pain...:(

Beriaan 02-09-2013 08:14 PM

Yes I feel the same way...
Can't wait to quet her out in the spring.

I paid homage to the snow gods this year, purchased a snow blower expecting mounds of the white stuff. 2" at Christmas and now we are starting to hit the 50's and on Feb 1st...the first top down drive of the year!

I feel for you guys on the wrong coast, its like nature conspires against you in the most harsh ways possible!

don't need to feel bad for me. While the boxsters are in hibernation I am driving the 996 C4 with winter tires.

recycledsixtie 02-11-2013 06:35 AM

I feel the pain of anybody that stores their Box over winter. I am driving mine through our cold snowy winters but unfortunately can't really open it up as it is too slippery. The streets are either frost covered or snow covered so the back end is really twitchy even with snow tires on.:(:(

I go for days or even a week without seeing another Porsche. However it is great to hear that engine even in the middle of winter. Roll on spring and look forward to those dry roads......:)

Don't feel badly for me :ah:. We all make choices. I drove into LA yesterday and the 3 big traffic jams I had to wait in were horrible, plus gas prices are ridiculous ($1.00 more per gallon than where I live)! I may only drive my Boxster 9-10 months of the year, but I have to cram the 3 months it's stored into the fun I have during the other 9 :). Plus I have curvey mountain and canyon roads (without traffic), mountain biking, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, hiking, backpacking, sailing, fishing, hunting and mountain climbing anywhere from right out my back door to 1/2 hour away. No traffic jams, no pollution, no crime, (we rarely lock our doors) and gas for a lot less money to boot (I can even get ethanol-free). And I don't feel badly for you, because I don't want anyone else to move here ;). Oh yes, and I got the Boxster out of storage last week and had a blast !

Took mine out for a spin yesterday. 40-ish degrees out and it rained a couple days ago so I figured most of the salt residue had been washed away. Bad news is my clutch is in much, much worse shape than I had thought it was. Oh well. Back in the garage until the tax refund gets here.
