My First Mod! Simple, But Effective

I'm easily pleased, and meir said I could manage it, and someone else posted a video link, so I changed my side lights today!

(Actually, hubby did most of it, but I changed the bulbs) I've got pics to prove it!

Banished that hideous orange that was clashing with Scarlett's beautiful red.

And just for fun, hubby got me a hilarious sticker for my mirror. I couldn't use the whole thing because of the cheapy (lifesaving) bubble mirror, but it's still cool.

Available on Amazon if you want one.

Isn't the answer to your sign off 2 1/3? What does that mean?

BruceH 02-09-2013 09:24 AM

He is too lazy to do his homework.

The mirrior on the european boxsters has "dead zone mirrior" bulb mirror as standard
on the drivers side(left), you can find them used cheap at ebay.
Yes, they are life saving...

Those are called Aspheric mirrors. I guess "blind spot mirror" was too difficult for Porsche.

Very easy to install. You just have to be careful not to rip out the wiring behind the stock mirror lense. I actually did the swap right in the parking lot when I picked it up at FedEx. I was too cheap to do both sides... having spent over $9K in mods and all..:)

I believe it's what's known as PASM: Porsche ASpheric Mirror. I've seen that feature avertised on a lot of Porsches for sale.

Where did you get the sticker from please? I'm not bothered about the mirror, I don't need em, I'm always winning! :)

Porsche Chick 02-13-2013 03:48 PM

Thanks, thstone! :D You rock!

Perfectlap; I think this might be one to add to the list. The little round mirrors look a little silly.

NoGaBiker; I'm going to check this out

Meir; :D Don't worry, I might be here complaining about the PDK in a few years . . .

Since everybody else got a smiley face except me, I'm assuming you thought my comment about PASM was serious. Sorry, I was just joking around. PASM is Porsche Active Suspension Management -- it's the "automatic" suspension that adjusts itself for different conditions.

Oh! I was wondering . . .

Mine has a button that only says PSM, which the dealer said never turn off, and the track instructor said to definitely turn off. I understood it to be stability, but you're saying it adjusts the suspension? Wow, how does that actually work?

Here's your smiley :D :D
